Inline Lunge with T-spine Rotation

This exercise is a modification of Gary Gray’s Lunge Matrix (www.grayinstitute.com). For those unfamiliar with the lunge matrix it is a front lunge, side lunge, back lunge combo exercise that incorporates t-spine rotation and spinal extension.
I would like to take this exercise and add a stability progression to the front lunge. Try lining your feet up directly behind one another with the toes facing forward, much in the same way as the inline lunge in the FMS assessment. Go down into a lunge and rotate the trunk to the right and then return to the start. Next, go down into the lunge and extend back. Lastly, go down into the lunge and rotate the trunk to the left. Repeat this cycle for the number of desired reps with each leg forward. Remeber this is a stability progression and in the beginning just balancing may be the exercise. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
